Asha Pillai, Executive Director: A student of Buddhist Practices and very committed in finding new ways to bring that understanding and wisdom to daily life. As a teacher she brings in her experience of over 18 years of teaching various groups and individuals from the corporate, education and NGO sectors. She designed the curriculum of the “Certificate Course in Applied Mahayana Buddhist Psychology and Ethic”, and currently teaches at the University of Pune.

Zubin Balsara, Projects Director: Certified drum circle facilitator from USA, and a long-term student of Ms. Heather MacTavish of New Rhythms Foundation, CA, USA. His formal education includes a Production Engineering degree. More than 13 years of experience in therapy, with special focus on improvisational music and rhythms. Co-authored internationally published work ‘Songs, Science and Spirit’. Has been teaching music since past 20 years.

Aanand Chabukswar, Head Projects: Trained in dramatherapy in UK. Worked as teacher & theatre facilitator for past 15 years in India and abroad and ABT Practitioner since 2001. Has a degree in Economics, a PG in Foreign Trade, and a Masters’ degree in Literature. Published articles internationally (USA, UK) and a contributor to Routledge (UK) publication on ‘Dramatherapy and Social Theatre’. Designed and teaches Applied Theatre at the University of Pune.

Deborah Daniel, Head Projects: More than 15 years of work experience in the social and corporate sector.   Specialized in visual art and aesthetics by practicing mindfulness, zen art, and sacred spaces. Has a Masters’ degree in Social Work from Pune University. Excellent project management skills, she led a three-year action research project titled ‘Best Practices in ABT’ – a multi-location project. A total of 450 hours of ABT work across three population groups was assessed and evaluated. The project team comprised of 15 members.
